Laws current as of November 10, 2025 Can I get an order of protection from abuse if I'm a minor?
Under Delaware law, a minor is a person under 18 years of age. If you are a minor, you can get an order of protection by having one of these people file for you:
- your parent;
- your legal guardian; or
- a child protection services worker.1
