Laws current as of November 13, 2025 If my child was conceived from rape, can the offender's parental rights be terminated?
In Oklahoma, you can file a petition to terminate the offender’s parental rights if your child was conceived as the result of rape. If the judge believes that you have proven your case after a hearing, the offender’s rights can be terminated.1
Also, the offender’s rights can be terminated if they were criminally convicted of rape or rape by instrumentation in any state. This is true regardless of who the victim was, and whether or not the crime resulted in your child being conceived.2
