How is paternity established?

For parents who were not married when their child was born, paternity or parentage can be established in court or when the non-birthing parent signs an acknowledgment of parentage or paternity. To read additional ways that paternity can be established, see section 19-4-105 of the law on our Selected Colorado Statutes page.1
