Included in this list are organizations that provide free or low-cost legal services to victims and survivors of abuse, as well as to others who qualify. Even if the organization does not have a lawyer available to represent you in court, you may want to ask if there is a lawyer with whom you can consult to obtain advice. We list the organizations by the county where the office is located, but many offices serve multiple counties. We indicate the “counties served” whenever possible. Volunteer attorneys answer legal questions at no cost on Wednesdays through the LegalLine clinic, sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association. Provides representation for survivors of domestic violence and victims of violent crimes. Mil Mujeres provides direct legal services in the area of immigration law to low-income Spanish and English-speaking survivors of domestic violence, physical assault, sexual assault, and human trafficking, and to immigrant children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. Services include help with U visas, VAWA self-petitions and DACA immigration processes. There are costs associated with the services.

Mosaic Family Services serves victims of human trafficking and family violence, refugees, and unaccompanied minors. Services include a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, housing program, children’s advocacy program, case management, counseling, therapy, educational opportunities, job training, and more. Their legal program provides free family and immigration law services to survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. Staff are fluent in over 25 languages.
