Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA) offers services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence. Services include counseling for adults and children, support groups in English and Spanish, safety planning, emergency financial support, and help with education and training. AVDA can also provide legal services and representation for little or no cost in family law matters, such as protective orders, divorce, child support, child custody, and adoption. They have offices in Houston, Brookshire, and Stafford. This location serves Fort Bend County.

Services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, online chat, emergency shelter, counseling, youth program, housing assistance, support groups, life skills classes, and more. Their legal department can help with divorce, custody, protective orders, landlord-tenant matters, and other matters.

The Crisis Center offers services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include: 24-hour hotlines, emergency shelter placement, safety planning, support groups, counseling, assistance with protective orders and crime victim’s compensation, and hospital, court, and law enforcement accompaniment. Counseling, support groups, and advocacy are available in both English and Spanish.
