Asian Women's Shelter
Asian Women’s Shelter (AWS) provides services to survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. AWS addresses cultural and language needs of immigrant, refugee, and U.S.-born Asian and Arab women and their children. Services include: a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, community engagement, violence prevention programs, and more. AWS also has a Queer Asian Women and Transgender Support Program, addressing intimate partner violence in the LGBTQ community. Services are offered in 41 languages.
Cameron House
Cameron House is a multi-service agency offering family-centered programs to the San Francisco Chinese community. Domestic violence services include: case management, safety planning, emotional support, referrals to shelters and legal services, court accompaniment, and access to community resources. Cameron House also offers a support group for Cantonese-speaking women who are domestic violence survivors. Counseling services are offered in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Community United Against Violence
Community United Against Violence (CUAV) supports the healing of LGBTQ people that have experienced violence and abuse by other people or institutions. Service include: peer counseling, safety planning, referrals, limited case follow-up, support groups, and workshops.
La Casa de las Madres
La Casa de las Madres offers services to survivors of domestic violence. Their 24-hour adult and teen crisis lines provide confidential support to callers throughout the state. Services include: a 24-hour crisis line, a text support line, emergency shelter, permanent supportive housing services, a teen program, and more. The shelter offers stays for up to eight weeks for women and their children, with individual counseling, support groups, life skills, resources, and referrals to support services. The Riley Center offers safe and confidential comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence, along with their children. North County Rape Crisis & Child Protection Center
The Center is Northern Santa Barbara County’s primary crisis support agency for victims of sexual violence, domestic and child abuse, and human trafficking. Services include: a 24-hour hotline in English and Spanish, crisis intervention, counseling, support groups, educational programs, medical and law enforcement accompaniment, referrals, and more. Standing Together to End Sexual Assault
Standing Together to End Sexual Assault (STESA) is the former Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center. STESA provides confidential counseling and support services to survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones. Services include: a 24-hour hotline, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, self-defense workshops, and education. STESA can help survivors: receive medical attention, make a police report, obtain an emergency protective order, access emergency shelter/food/transportation, apply for a U-Visa or T-Visa, and receive referrals. Their service area extends from Carpinteria to the Santa Ynez Valley.
Victim-Witness Assistance Program of the Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office - Lompoc Office
The Victim-Witness Assistance Program assists victims of crime with orientation to the criminal justice system. The Asian Women’s Home services survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Their shelter is the only domestic violence shelter in Santa Clara County that focuses on the Asian community. AACI is home to Family Justice Center, where survivors can consult with the attorneys and the District Attorney on legal issues, restraining orders, divorce/custody, VAWA, U-Visas, victims compensation, and more. Help is available in multiple languages and dialects, both Asian and non-Asian.
