Legal Services Alabama (LSA) provides free civil legal representation to low-income Alabamians. The types of cases they accept include: divorce involving domestic violence, custody, adoption, guardianship, housing, public benefits, and more. Apply for legal help by calling the Call Center or completing the online application. LSA has eight offices throughout the state.

Provides access to free high-quality legal services to low-income residents of Jefferson County. Areas of service include: child support enforcement, divorce, visitation enforcement, landlord/tenant disputes, bankruptcy, and various other civil issues. Lawyers can assist with specific legal issues but cannot provide ongoing representation nor attend court.
