Family Violence Program (Babyland Family Services)
This shelter houses 14 women and 30 children. In addition to the shelter it provides a 24-hour hotline, individual and group counseling for adults, play therapy for children, legal advocacy and information and referrals, housing advocacy, and referrals for further education for clients and community education. The location of the shelter is confidential.

Offers career counseling, computer classes, job readiness programs, financial and legal guidance, a low cost legal consultation, teen dating abuse program, women’s workshops, peer support and programming for children in crisis.

Operates a 24-hour response line, an emergency safe house (with Kosher provisions under the supervision of the Va’ad of MetroWest), transitional housing, individual counseling and women’s support groups, and a men’s group for abusive men, and vocational services. The Rachel Coalition Court Advocacy Program provides a bilingual court advocate to work with victims in the domestic violence unit of the Essex County Family Court. Direct representation for victims of domestic violence is provided to eligible women.

Emergency shelter for women who are victims of domestic violence. The shelter provides support services and referrals to assist victims of domestic violence.
New Jersey Mental Health Cares
New Jersey Mental Health Cares is New Jersey’s mental health information and referral service, with the most up-to-date listing of New Jersey’s public mental health providers. Their website contains an online directory, including victim services listings. The hotline is staffed from 8 AM to 12 PM (EST), 7 days a week.
