In our Nebraska Divorce section, we revised all six questions to make the text clearer and up-to-date in order to prepare this section for translation into Spanish. To name a few specific changes, we:
- Revised What are the residency requirements for divorce in Nebraska? to clarify that members of the armed forces who are stationed in Nebraska can file for divorce after living there for one year without having to prove the intention of making Nebraska their “permanent home;” and
- Revised Where can I find additional information about divorce laws in Nebraska? to insert updated links to the Nebraska Judicial Branch website.
We also created a new question called If my spouse and I both want a divorce, does there still need to be a court hearing?
