On our South Dakota Crimes page, based on 2022 legislative changes, we updated the name of the crime that was previously called “Use or dissemination of visual recording or photographic device without consent and with intent to self-gratify, harass, or embarrass” to its new name: “Record–Privacy–Manipulated image–Violation.” We also updated the link to the South Dakota Department of Corrections website for victim services information. Lastly, in our Selected South Dakota Statutes page, we added a statute related to small claims court jurisdiction.
