Based on changes to the law that took effect 7/2021, we made the following changes:
- Added information about there being a rebuttable presumption for joint custody to What is joint custody? Is joint custody favored in Arkansas? in our Arkansas Custody page.
- Changed the reference to a “non-custodial parent” to the “parent who pays child support” in How will the judge calculate child support? in our Arkansas Child Support section.
We also completely re-wrote Can a parent who committed domestic violence get custody or visitation? and Can a parent who is a registered sex offender, or who lives with one, get custody or visitation? in our Arkansas Custody section. Lastly, we re-wrote Where can I find additional information about divorce in Arkansas? in our Arkansas Divorce section. All changes made in English; Spanish soon to come.
