We created a new question in our Tennessee Custody section called If my child was conceived from rape, can the offender get custody or visitation rights? We also added the related statute to our Selected Tennessee Statutes page. In addition, based on 2021 changes to the law, we edited How will a judge make a decision about custody? to explain that a judge cannot consider a parent’s disability when deciding custody unless it impacts the parent’s ability to meet the child’s needs.
