Native Alliance Against Violence
Native Alliance Against Violence (NAAV) is Oklahoma’s tribal domestic violence and sexual assault coalition. The NAAV is not a direct service provider, however it does serve Oklahoma’s federally recognized tribes and their tribal programs. The NAAV’s mission is to unify tribal service programs throughout Oklahoma by providing culturally appropriate technical assistance, training and support to eliminate domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating violence to restore balance and safety to tribal communities. The NAAV also houses the Coordinated Indigenous Resource Center for Legal Empowerment Project (CIRCLE Project) which provides survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking with legal representation throughout Oklahoma. Legal representation is provided in both state and tribal courts regarding civil matters arising from or caused by the violence and in related criminal matters advocating for the enforcement of victims’ rights.

Crime Victims Compensation
The purpose of the Crime Victims Compensation Act is to provide a method of compensation for victims of violent crime. An arrest of the offender does NOT have to take place in order to be eligible to file a claim; however, the victim and/or claimant is expected to fully cooperate in the apprehension, investigation, and prosecution of the perpetrator.

The YWCA provides the only shelter for battered women and children in Oklahoma County. YWCA is an emergency shelter, providing help in obtaining legal services, transportation, housing information, medical care, child care and advocacy services for up to two months. Clients attend domestic violence education and support groups during their stay. Child Advocates offer education and support to help children avoid further victimization, verbalize feelings, learn appropriate ways to express emotions and understand what is occurring in their families.

Family Safety Center
The Family Safety Center strives to provide “wrap-around” victim services to achieve the following objectives: provide assistance obtaining emergency protective orders for victims of domestic violence, provide help and resources to children exposed to domestic violence; offer forensic medical assistance to victims of domestic violence; offer appropriate legal support and representation to victims of domestic violence, reduce the number of domestic violence cases that go unreported in all of Tulsa County, and ensure domestic violence perpetrators are prosecuted.
Tulsa Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners Program (SANE)
The role of Statewide SANE Coordinators is to coordinate, support and enhance the existing SANE programs as well as develop new SANE programs throughout Oklahoma and to build the infrastructure and alliances with appropriate agencies to promote consistent, professional and victim-centered medical and forensic response and treatment for the sexual assault patient. A sexual assault nurse examiner can evaluate an adult or adolescent victim whose assault has occurred within the previous 120 hours (5 days).
