EspañolThe Legal Resources for the Elderly Program (LREP) is a free, statewide legal helpline, which is a joint project of the New Mexico State Bar Foundation and the New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department. Available for New Mexico residents age 55 and older. Helpline attorneys provide legal advice and brief services. Each caller who is eligible for the Program gets to speak to one of LREP’s five staff attorneys.

The Modest Means Helpline is a civil legal telephone helpline and attorney referral service of the New Mexico State Bar Foundation. The Modest Means Helpline assists New Mexico residents with incomes below 500% of the federal poverty guidelines. The Helpline can assist in civil legal matters including but not limited to domestic relations (domestic violence, divorce, child custody, kinship, guardianship), landlord/tenant, small business issues, consumer, and probate. Staff attorneys provide legal advice by phone and, if appropriate, may refer the case to pro bono attorneys for representation ranging from legal advice to limited or full representation.
