In our West Virginia Suing an Abuser for Money page, we changed the limit for small claims court actions to $10,000 from $5,000. (This change occurred in the law in 2016; we regret the error of not changing it before now.) We also added a related statute about small claims court to our Selected West Virginia Statutes page.
