In our Texas Family Violence Protective Orders page, we added information in English and Spanish to:

What can I do if the abuser violates the order? to clarify that a violation of an order can be a class A misdemeanor, a state jail felony, or a felony in the third degree depending on various factors; and
What is a magistrate’s order for emergency protection? How long does it last? to include indecent assault as a ground for getting an order.
