We revised our Nebraska Suing an Abuser for Money page to reflect the following:

  • the limit for small claims court increased to $6,000 and will further increase to $7,500 on 7/1/25, based on 2024 legislative changes; and
  • lawyers are not allowed to represent people in small claims court.

We also added two related statutes to our Selected Nebraska Statutes page.
