Based on 2021 legislative changes, we amended I am a victim of domestic violence and the abuser has a gun. Is this legal? and If the abuser has been convicted of a crime, can s/he keep or buy a gun? in our Kansas State Gun Laws section to add convictions for “non-person felonies” as a reason that would make gun possession illegal. We also added the new timeframes after felony sentencing during which gun possession is illegal. In addition, we added a statute related to small claims court to our Selected Kansas Statutes page.
