GA changes + stats

November 2021

Based on a new laws that took effect in 2021, we did the following in English (Spanish soon to come) :

Created a new question in our Georgia Family Violence Protective Orders section called After I get an order, what steps will law enforcement take to help ensure my safety? based on the law that lets a petitioner request police “security checks.” We also added the related statute to our Selected Georgia Statutes page.
Created a section called Georgia Dating Violence Protective Orders that summarizes the creation of this new order and links users to the five related statutes that we added to our Selected Georgia Statutes page. We invite users to check back in 2022 to see the full Q & A section that we will soon create.
