In our Alaska Restraining Orders section we did the following:
- Revised the question What is the legal definition of domestic violence? based on 2024 legislative changes that went into effect January 1, 2025. These changes expand the crimes that qualify as domestic violence for getting a protective order, to add unlawful contact and interfering with the report of a crime involving domestic violence.
- Revised two questions to improve readability:
We added the crimes of “unlawful contact” in the first and second degree to our Alaska Crimes page as well as our Selected Alaska Statutes page.
