Brookings Domestic Abuse Shelter serves victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Services include: 24-hour hotline, shelter, assistance in obtaining protection/stalking orders, rape crisis counseling, medical and legal advocacy, support groups for women, referrals, clothing/diapers/food, and more.

Buffalo
Wiconi Wawokiya Inc., Project SAFE Shelter
A shelter for women who are battered and their children. The shelter also provides services to victims of sexual assault and child abuse. Services include: crisis counseling, shelter, transportation, criminal justice advocacy, medical advocacy, protective orders, emergency financial, support groups, and follow-up. New facility currently has the capacity to provide shelter for 12 to 14 people. Victims from both the Crow Creek and Lower Brule Reservations seek refuge here.

Domestic Violence Safe Options Services (DV SOS)
Domestic Violence Safe Options Services (DV SOS) offers a website with useful resources for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, dating violence and human trafficking. A variety of services and community support to help protect victims during crisis providing help anonymously. Resources available serve Clay, Union, and Turner Counties in the Southeast Corner of South Dakota.

Beacon Center
Beacon Center offers a variety of services and community support to help protect victims of abuse during crisis. These anonymous services are available for all trauma victims in the community: 24 hr crisis line, emergency shelter, counseling, family visitation center, pet safe haven and community education. Serving Clark, Codington, Deuel, Grant and Hamlin counties.

Zintkala Waste Win Oti (Pretty Bird Woman House) provides emergency shelter and advocacy support for women on the Standing Rock reservation who have been victims of domestic violence or sexual assault.

Safe Place of Eastern South Dakota, formerly the Mitchell Area Safehouse, serves victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking through advocacy, education, shelter, and family support services. Services include: emergency shelter, financial and housing assistance, crisis hotline, safety planning, family visitation center, support groups, community education, and more. Serving Aurora, Davison, Douglas, Hanson, Hutchinson, Jerauld, Sanborn, and Miner counties.

Catholic Family Services provides a variety of counseling programs: grief, individual, family, and adoption services. Services offered in five locations across eastern South Dakota. Counseling is professional and confidential.
Children's Inn
Children’s Inn provides shelter services victims of domestic violence, elder abuse, dating violence, sexual assault, and child abuse & neglect. Services are provided, but are not limited, to the South Dakota counties of Minnehaha, McCook, Lincoln, Turner, and Union. Children’s Inn also provides the following services to victims (even if you are not in our shelter): assistance in the completion of protection order paperwork; counseling; support groups; and parenting groups. Services may be provided in your community as part of the Rural Outreach Program.

The Wholeness Center
The Wholeness Center provides several types of services to assist victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking, as well as offers the support and resources needed to make healthy choices. Wac'ang'a Inc. - Sweetgrass Shelter
Wac’ang’a Inc. offers a 24-hr hotline, emergency shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, referrals, support groups and behavioral help among other services. Victims of domestic violence are welcomed to contact Wac’ang’a’s hotline anytime for services, referrals or just to talk.
Spink
Family Crisis Center
The Family Crisis Center provides referral, shelter and resources to primary and secondary victims in our three-county area that are victims. FCC works to support for those affected by domestic abuse and violence, sexual assault, dating abuse and violence, human trafficking (labor/sex), stalking, elder abuse, child abuse, and other victims of violent crimes. We do not charge any fees nor do we adhere to any income eligibility standards.
The Family Crisis Center, Inc. strives to be the premier organization for education, prevention, advocacy and awareness for Coercive Control, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Dating Violence, Human Trafficking(sex/labor), Stalking and Elder Abuse in the areas of Faulk, Hand, and Spink counties. Their primary purpose is to offer safe shelter to victims of violent crimes on the Rosebud Reservation. Native American Women's Health Education Resource Center - Women’s Lodge
The Women’s Lodge provides shelter for women (and their children) suffering from domestic abuse and/or sexual assault. In addition to shelter and food, services include: rape advocacy, support groups, legal advocacy, and referrals to other service agencies.
River City Domestic Violence Center - Women's Shelter
River City Domestic Violence Center offers a 24-hr hotline, emergency shelter, support groups, education, workshops, assistance with orders of protection, court accompaniment, advocacy, among other services available for victims of domestic violence and their families.
