The Family Law Assistance Project (FLAP) provides family law legal aid clinics to low income families and individuals. Legal circumstances must be related to a domestic personal protection order (PPO) or a family law issue such as divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, minor guardianship, etc. You must be low-income and a United States citizen or eligible alien. You must need legal services in Oakland County or live in Oakland County. Your circumstances must be related to a domestic Personal Protection Order (PPO) or family law issue such as divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, minor guardianship, etc. You must not be represented by an attorney. Please bring all documents relating to your legal action to the clinic. This includes all complaints, motions, orders and judgments. For dates and times of the clinics, visit their website. The clinic cannot offer assistance in cases relating to child abuse and neglect.
