Human Response Network
Human Response Network (HRN) provides a variety of social services in the community, including services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include: a 24-hour crisis hotline, crisis intervention, emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, legal assistance with restraining orders and custody, support groups, food and clothing assistance, and more. HRN can provide accompaniment with the criminal justice process, law enforcement interviews, and emergency room visits. Serving Trinity County.
Victim Witness Assistance Program of the Trinity County District Attorney's Office
The Program helps victims and witnesses of crimes throughout the criminal justice process. Services include: orientation to the criminal justice system, court accompaniment, referrals to resources, restraining order assistance, help with victim compensation claims, and more.
Tulare
Family Crisis Center
The Family Crisis Center provides services to victims of domestic violence and homelessness. Services include: a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter with bilingual English/Spanish advocates, transitional housing, assistance with restraining orders, help navigating court system, parenting program, support groups, and intervention programs. The shelter welcomes all gender identities and families. Additional services for shelter clients include: emergency food and transportation assistance, counseling services, case management, and children’s services.

Family Services serves survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and other traumas in Tulare County. Services include: a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter for survivors and their children, transitional housing, safety planning, case management, hospital support and advocacy, counseling, legal services, support groups, and more. Advocates can meet victims wherever they may be for crisis response. Legal services include assistance with restraining orders and custody orders. They have a dedicated children’s counseling center offering services in English and Spanish. Family Services also operates supervised visitation centers in Visalia and Porterville. Victim Witness Assistance Center of the Tuolumne County District Attorney’s Office
The Victim Witness Assistance Center provides services to victims and witnesses of all types of crimes. Comprehensive services are provided upon request, and outreach is provided to victims/witnesses with special needs. Special needs includes victims of child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, and victims with disabilities, the elderly, non-English speaking, or hearing impaired.
