2933.52 Prohibition against interception of communications; exceptions

(A) No person purposely shall do any of the following:

(1) Intercept, attempt to intercept, or procure another person to intercept or attempt to intercept a wire, oral, or electronic communication;

(2) Use, attempt to use, or procure another person to use or attempt to use an interception device to intercept a wire, oral, or electronic communication, if either of the following applies:

SHALVA supports Jewish women experiencing and healing from domestic abuse through counseling, supportive services, and community education. Their Legal Liaison program provides SHALVA clients with knowledge and support to better navigate the legal process. They also provide limited scope legal representation to a small number of SHALVA clients.

Bolton Refuge House, Inc. (BRH) serves individuals affected by domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and stalking. Services include: a 24-hour hotline, bilingual advocacy, 1-to-1 advocacy, community outreach, legal advocacy, abuse later in life assistance, youth & family advocacy, LGBTQ+ Advocacy, and emergency shelter. BRH serves Eau Claire, Jackson, and Buffalo Counties.

The Red Cliff Family Violence Prevention Program provides advocacy for victims of domestic violence. Advocacy includes accompanying clients to legal hearings and assistance with domestic violence restraining orders and/or harassment injunctions. Victims are given information regarding their rights as crime victims. Also, provides advocacy, supportive counseling, information, and referral for adults who are in violent relationships with a spouse or partner.

Green Haven Family Advocates provides domestic and family violence services to persons of Green County, Wisconsin. Offers a 24-hour crisis hotline, legal advocacy, Child and Teen Advocacy program, counseling and financial education. Emergency shelter referrals in the Green County area are provided through crisis hotline.
