What are my employer's obligations to accommodate a victim of DV?

Although we don’t have specific information on this topic, I found 2 state law guides on the Legal Momentum website (which is another national non-profit organization) that may be of some use in trying to figure out whether your employer has any obligations to a victim of domestic violence:

Not every state has laws in place regarding an employer’s obligations to a victim of abuse. [LOOK ONLINE FOR A LAW IN THAT STATE AND IF SO, INCLUDE THAT INFO] However, federal laws, which apply to all states, may apply. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has information about how certain federal anti-discrimination laws may protect victims of domestic violence and also information about different forms of job discrimination that are prohibited by federal law.

An attorney who specializes in civil rights law may be able to consult with you to see if your state civil rights and/or federal civil rights have been violated. You can find free and low cost lawyers on our website. [HYPERLINK]
