Shelters provide more than just shelter*
Domestic violence organizations that provide shelter often offer victims of domestic violence much more than just shelter. They may be able to offer you counseling, individual safety planning sessions, information on resources specific to your community, and help navigating the legal and social services systems – whether or not you decide to stay in their shelter. We have a list of domestic violence organizations at [INSERT LINK TO STATE AND LOCAL PROGRAMS PAGE] or you can call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) to find the organization nearest you.
