.The father wasn't involved in my pregnancy - can he see the child?
Since I am not an expert in your state’s laws, I can’t speak to how your state handles the topic of when a father is not involved in the mother’s pregnancy. You may want to ask an attorney if the fact that the father wasn’t involved in the pregnancy may or may not have anything to do with whether he may get visitation or custody. In many states, he may not have any legal responsibility to do anything during the pregnancy (i.e., going to Dr. appointments, checking in on you, etc.). However, it may be possible that there may be some law in your state that I am unaware of that would require him to be active during the pregnancy or else it could be held against him - you may want to ask an attorney about this since I am not specifically familiar with your state’s laws.
