.Can father force his way into delivery room if he is not invited?
In terms of who can be in the delivery room, you may want to talk to the hospital staff where you think you may deliver to ask about what type of security they have and how they handle situations where you do not want the father present. Since you are the patient, it may be that you can decide who can and who cannot enter but I do not know if there may be any rules or laws that may allow a father to see a child after birth – I am not sure. Another idea you may want to explore if you fear that the father will try to come uninvited may be to ask the hospital if there may is some type of security guard that you can call if needed or some type of list at the hospital entrance for people who can and cannot come in. Again, I do not know how your hospital would handle this. I don’t know if they have security who may intervene or if you’d have to call the police or how it would be handled. Again, it may be something you decide to discuss with your OB/GYN or hospital beforehand if you think the father may learn you are delivering and try to come uninvited.
