Child Support

A asks if he has to pay c.s. if his kids go out of state

Often judges consider child support and visitation as two separate issues with one not affecting the other. Therefore, no matter where children are
living, in many states, this has no affect on one’s obligation to support the children. However, if the children are no longer living with the parent receiving child support, this may possibly be a reason for a paying parent to file to modify the child support order during this period perhaps. Again, I cannot say whether any of this applies or does not apply to STATE or to your situation. You would have to talk to a lawyer to get specific legal advice about your situation with your children. Here is a link for lawyers in STATE: LINK However, many of these organizations may only help victims of domestic violence so I am not certain if you can receive assistance from some of them.

It may be possible that the STATE Child Support Enforcement Unit may have some information that may be useful on this if you want to
call them - I am not sure. Here is their contact info: [NOTE TO STUDENT: GOOGLE THE STATE + Child Support Enforcement TO TRY TO FIND A LINK FOR THE WRITER]
