If you think that there may be a camera or recording device hidden in your home, perhaps a local handyman might be able to check the vents or other places where theoretically a person could put a camera or device? There are also hidden camera detectors on the market such as this one but we can’t say whether they work or not (and we don’t endorse the one I linked to or any of them for that matter). There are also “low-tech” ways to try to detect hidden cameras, such as turning off all lights at night and look for flashing or solid lights coming from something; using a flashlight to see if you can catch the reflection off a camera lens; look for anything new to the home; check the network for any unknown connections. There are also apps that help scan for networked cams but again, we don’t endorse any of them.
