Restraining Orders

Mom asks if child is automatically included on RO

Although I cannot speak to your situation, in many states, only the person named as a protected person or petitioner on the order is protected. Sometimes, a parent will petition on his/her behalf as well as on behalf of his/her minor child and so the respondent may be prohibited from contacting both. However, I cannot speak to how this is done under STATE law or whether or not there may be any assumption that a child is included even if not specifically named. I do not know what the specifics of your order are in terms of who is protected. If you are unsure, you may want to show your order to a lawyer for advice.
