.Will RO will go on A's criminal record or come up in background check
Although I cannot speak to the specific laws in STATE, generally a criminal record shows crimes a person was convicted of and in some instances it may show arrests as well. I do not know for sure whether or not a civil protection order would be indicated in someone’s criminal record if the person was never arrested or convicted of violating the order. However, as part of a background check performed by an employer, it may be possible that many databases are searched to collect information. Many states register civil protection orders in their state’s registry or in the national registry. If a background check accesses one of those registries, it may be possible that the order could come up in a background check but I am not sure how many employers other than law enforcement or government agencies have access to the protection order registries. For advice on your particular situation, you may want to talk to a lawyer in STATE who deals with protection orders or perhaps you can contact the State Coalition Against Domestic Violence in your state to find out for sure. Here is the Coalition’s contact info: GIVE CONTACT INFO and here is a link for lawyers, free (if you qualify) and paid: LINK
