in NC, marital misconduct (such as adultery), is not considered when dividing marital property and debts. It can be considered when awarding alimony but from what you described, it does not seem that you were ordered to pay alimony to your ex. Also, it is debatable whether or not marital misconduct that happened after the parties are living separately would be a factor in a NC divorce.
