Request for help writing 'substantial abuse' letter

I would suggest that you reach out to a national immigration organization who may be able to give you advice. There is one organization that I know of, for example, called ASISTA (www.asistahelp.org) which provides technical assistance (advice) to advocates and attorneys who work with immigrant victims - they may be the best place to start to get advice. Their email is questionsatasistahelp.org or you can find the phone number on the website. And here are some other national organizations that do immigration work that may be able to assist you:http://www.womenslaw.org/gethelp_national_type.php?type_id=1047

If you cannot connect with someone on the phone, I can send you some information about this topic from a U Visa manual that we have, which is written by ILRC (Immigration Legal Resource Center). I think it is geared towards lawyers but has information about what should be included in a substantial abuse letter. If you would like me to mail you or scan and email you that information, please give me your mailing address or please give me your email address (we cannot see the address that your message comes from) and I can email you from my work email account.

Also, in case this is useful, here is more information on VAWA and U visas from our website, WomensLaw.org:http://www.womenslaw.org/laws_state_type.php?statelaw_name=Immigration&s…
