Info for V re: crim ct RO and parole conditions when A is released from prison after a conviction

Sometimes when a person is convicted of a crime, the victim of that crime receives a criminal court protection order that may last many years, depending on the state. Do you know if you received one when this person was convicted. If you are unsure, perhaps you may be able to contact the district attorney’s office where the case was tried to find out. In addition, often times if a prisoner is released on parole after serving a prison sentence, s/he may be under certain conditions or restrictions, which is some situations may include a “stay away” restriction from the victim - I do not know if this is the case with the person you are writing about but perhaps you may be able to ask the district attorney’s office or another crime victim advocacy group to help you find out?
