If a woman hits a man, is he vindicated criminally for hitting her back?
I am afraid that there isn’t really a general, easy answer to this. It may likely depend on the individual circumstances - it could be that both may be arrested for harming each other, or that only one person may be arrested depending on the actions of each. It could be that the man may claim self-defense but that may depend on what the actual actions are that were done, the force of each, the timing of the actions, etc (i.e., if a woman slapped the man and then the man punched the woman and caused serious injury, it may be hard to say that this amount of force was needed to defend himself - or a judge may think that no amount of force was needed to defend himself perhaps).
