A restraining order or protective order is a legal order issued by a state court which requires one person to stop harming another. In Missouri, Orders of Protection are explained below.

Some restraining orders are issued in criminal court and some are issued in civil court.
A civil order that provides protection from harm by a family or household member.
A civil order that provides protection against a stalker who does not have to be related to you.
Your MO Order of Protection may be enforceable in another state.
If you are planning to move to MO or are going to be in MO for any reason, your protection or restraining order may be enforced.
