A restraining order or protective order is a legal order issued by a state court which requires one person to stop harming another. In Kansas, there are several types of orders explained below.

A civil order that provides protection from an intimate partner or household member.
- Protection from Stalking Order
A civil order that provides protection from an abuser, regardless of the relationship, who is stalking you.
- Moving with a Kansas Protection from Abuse Order (PFA)
Your KS Protection from Abuse Order may be enforceable in another state.
- Enforcing an Out-of-State Order in KS
If you are planning to move to KS or are going to be in KS for any reason, your protection or restraining order may be enforced.
