A restraining order or protective order is a legal order issued by a state court which requires one person to stop harming another. In Oregon, there are several types of orders explained below.
Some restraining orders are issued in criminal court and some are issued in civil court.
A civil order that provides protection from harm by a family or household member.
Provides protection from someone who is stalking you.
If you are an elderly or disabled person who is being abused, you could apply for a restraining order by filing a civil action for abuse of the elderly or disabled..
Your restraining or protective order can be enforceable wherever you move.
If you are planning to move to OR or are going to be in OR for any reason, your protection or restraining order can be enforced.
