Some restraining orders are issued in criminal court and some are issued in civil court.
A civil order that protects you from domestic/family violence, stalking, and sex offenses committed by a family or household member.
An order of protection for victims of stalking or sex offenses committed by someone who is not a family or household member.
An order that an employer can get due to unlawful violence or credible threats of violence against his/her employee.
Your order for protection can be enforceable wherever you move.
If you are planning to move to Indiana or are going to be in Indiana for any reason, your protection or restraining order can be enforced.
