A restraining order or protective order is a legal order issued by a state court which requires one person to stop harming another. In Florida, you could qualify for an injunction for protection against domestic violence or an injunction against repeat, dating, or sexual violence, explained below.
Some restraining orders are issued in criminal court and some are issued in civil court.
A civil order that provides protection from abuse by a family or household member.
If you do not qualify for an injunction for protection against domestic violence, you might qualify for another injunction.
Your FL injunction for protection against domestic violence can be enforceable in another state.
If you are planning to move to FL or are going to be in FL for any reason, your protection or restraining order may be enforced.
