A restraining order or protective order is a legal order issued by a state court which requires one person to stop harming another.
Some restraining orders are issued in criminal court and some are issued in civil court.
A civil order that provides protection from abuse by your current or former spouse, someone you have a child in common with, or your live-in partner of the opposite sex.
A civil restraining order against anyone who is harassing or stalking you.
Your SC Order of Protection can be enforceable wherever you move.
If you are planning to move to SC or are going to be in SC for any reason, your protection or restraining order can be enforced.
