To file for an Order of Protection in Arizona, you may go to the Justice or Municipal Court in the area where the person who is abusing you resides or where the violence occurred. However, if you are also in the process of getting a divorce, annulment, or legal separation, you must go to the Superior Court.

At the courthouse, the clerk will provide you with the forms that you need to file. If you need assistance filling out the form, ask the clerk for help. You will also find links to online forms at our Download Court Forms. You may also get help with the court system through one of the domestic violence organizations listed on our AZ State and Local Programs page.

Listed below are telephone numbers and addresses for the Clerks of the Superior Courts and Justice Courts in Arizona. For more comprehensive information on the Arizona court system, and for a more complete listing of Justice and Municipal Courts, go to the AZ Judicial Branch website at www.supreme.state.az.us.
