Youth Helpline, with website and anonymous message board. Hotline is available 24/7 365 days a year. The hotline can address issues such as bullying, dating and relationships, eating disorders/body image, health, LGBTQI, mental health, sex and sexuality, substance use and abuse. Anonymity and confidentiality are assured except in life-threatening situations. Spanish speaking services are provided.

Works to end all forms of violence against South Asian women living in the U.S. Manavi provides legal services in three legal clinics once per month in New Brunswick, Jersey City and Patterson to low income and/or no income South Asian women who are victims of domestic and sexual violence, trafficking, and stalking. The clinic will also assist women with issues such as housing, child custody, public assistance and residency status and other issues as it relates to their needs. Manavi also provides counseling services to South Asian women who are victims of all forms of domestic violence, support groups once a month in the New Brunswick location, and will accompany women to various agencies (hospitals, courts, and/or police departments) to offer support and provide translation or interpretation.

Provides a guide to services for women who are victims of domestic violence by county, including emergency shelters. Victims of domestic violence who wish to speak to the coalitions staff attorney should call (609) 584-8107. The staff attorney will provide a brief phone consultation on issues of family law, final restraining orders and other domestic violence related legal matters. All calls from victims will be returned as soon as possible. Services are available to Spanish speaking victims.

Provides free legal representation and/or legal advice for low income victims throughout NJ. Their sevices include: mPower HelpLine and Pro Se Assistance: provides legal advice and counsel for women over the phone in matters of child support, visitation, custody, divorce and domestic violence; mPower Legal Clinics: provides legal advice and counsel for divorce and post-divorce matters, allowing women to meet one-on-one with knowledgeable, volunteer attorneys to have questions answered, court papers reviewed and obtain procedural guidance; Pro Bono Legal Representation: provides women with quality legal representation in final restraining order hearings (and other family law matters) primarily in Essex and Union Counties; mPower Planning: preparation of wills, powers of attorney, health care proxies and directives for clients who have received other legal services from us; mPower Your Life: A Financial Skills Workshop for Women.

Works to overcome cultural, legal and religious barriers confronting victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Services offered included no cost counseling for adult survivors of domestic violence, child and adult victims of sexual abuse, children affected by domestic violence (through the PALS partner program), weekly confidential groups to deal with relationship changes, assists with accommodations for religious observances in shelters, resource identification, advocacy services, vocational services, access to pro-bono legal services for a single consultation. The agency also has men’s groups for men who wish to improve their ability to constructively express themselves in their intimate relationships.

Provides comprehensive information, referrals, active listening and crisis response for issues confronting New Jersey residents, including but not limited to childcare, discrimination, displaced homemaker, divorce, employment, housing, job training, legal assistance, single parenting, and social services.
