Donde Encontrar Ayuda

You can file for a protection order at the district courthouse in your county. Frequently a domestic violence advocate will guide you through this process and may even file the paperwork for you. If there is no domestic violence advocate at your local court, find the civil court clerk and request a petition for a protection order.
At the courthouse, the clerk will provide you with the forms that you need to file. If you need assistance filling out the form, ask the clerk for help. You will also find links to online forms at our Download Court Forms page. You may also get help with the court system through one of the domestic violence organizations listed on our ND State and Local Programs page.
Below are listed the district courthouses for each county in North Dakota. For more information about North Dakota's court system, you can go to their website at www.court.state.nd.us/Court/Courts.htm. For maps and directions to your county courthouse, go to www.ndcourts.com/court/counties/counties.htm and select your county.
