Finding a Lawyer

North Carolina

  • Legal Assistance

Included in this list are organizations that provide free or low-cost legal services to victims of abuse and others who qualify. Even if the organization does not have a lawyer available to represent you in court, you may want to ask if there is a lawyer who you can consult with to get advice.

  • Law School Clinic Programs

Student volunteers, supervised by attorneys, represent people who can't afford to hire a lawyer in a variety of cases. Contact the schools below for more information and to find out if they can take your case.

  • Lawyer Referral Services

For those who do not qualify for free legal assistance, we link to the state’s Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service(s) for private attorneys.
