The Victim Service Section is available 24 hours a day and has offices in each of the three counties. They can respond to hospitals, homes, crime scenes, when requested by an officer.

Provides crime victims with professional assistance and support. Services include: crisis intervention, referrals to community based services, court accompaniment, assistance filing for violent crime compensation, and more.
New Castle
New Castle County Division of Police Victim Services Unit

The Victim Services Unit provides information and support to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child and elderly victims, and assistance to family members of homicide or suicide. They can provide court accompaniment and guidance through the criminal justice system, and present options, such as filing for a protection from abuse order, shelter, reporting the crime, mental health counseling, and other resources.
Newark Police Department Victim Services Unit

The Victim Services Unit helps crime victims and witnesses within the city of Newark. Services include crisis intervention, court accompaniment, assistance with crime victims’ compensation, and referrals to other resources. They also provide information about protection from abuse orders and the criminal justice system.
