A restraining order or protective order is a legal order issued by a state court which requires one person to stop harming another. In Utah, there are several types of orders explained below.

Some restraining orders are issued in criminal court and some are issued in civil court.
Provides protection from a current or former dating partner, a member of your household or someone you have a child in common with.
You can file a Stalking Injunction against person who is stalking you even if you have not lived with that person in the past.
Your UT Protective Order may be enforceable wherever you move.
If you are planning to move to UT or are going to be in UT for any reason, your protection or restraining order may be enforced.
